Workshop 5
The Literature
and Math Connection
Do not overlook the opportunity to connect
literature and mathematics -- a combination that changes students comprehension
and mathematical abilities. Design one or more workshops for your school
improvement needs by selecting a book with the NCTM
expectations you want to address. For a one day workshop, select 6
titles; for a two day workshop, select 12 titles.
For a list of additional books, E-mail Jane Haught at
jane@masteringmath.com or call,
701-258-8618.
Concepts addressed by each book below are mapped to student
expectations from Principles and Standards for School Mathematics, 2000.
